UNDERWEAR-GATE

Let me preface this column by saying that I detest (not a strong enough word) Saddam Hussein. He rivals Hitler & Idi Amin in sheer brutality & blood lust. (If a quantitative scale existed, he may even top both of them.) Having wantonly killed millions Muslims, he also took special delight in gruesome torture. This torture was not about naked pyramids or bags over his victims' heads. His brand of torture included (but not limited to:) such acts as tongue severing, hand removal & eye searing with a hot poker. Further, he had the torture videotaped so that he could watch it repeatedly while enjoying a good cigar, a cognac & a nice b-job from his mistress.

While the uproar is not yet that great, (Iraqis seem to hate this man more than Americans) the front page pictures of the London Sun & the NY Post of Saddam in his underwear are inexcusable. Media mogul, Rupurt Murdoch owner of 20th Century Fox & all its ancillaries along with the rag the Star, should be held accountable. Additionally any one who slipped him the photos (for, reportedly, a mere 500 lbs. Sterling) should also be punished to the full extent of the law.

This stance may surprise some of you that didn't agree with my feelings about the Quran flushing (a position I still stand by). Yes, they are all prisoners. But Saddam will eventually be tried along with Chemical Ali & Mrs. Anthrax (also pictured in other photos) by the Iraqis. The sentences that are given them will be much more merciful than Saddam ever was. (Don't write me... I know the difference between the man that is in charge & the minions that carry his orders out with glee.) They are all symbols of the fallen regime that enslaved the Iraqi nation, all the while fattening their own pockets with riches beyond imagination. All must be done that they receive the proper & just trials & sentences in front of the world's stage.

Allow these people (a compliment to be included in the human race) their "day in court." This should NOT include humiliation by another fabulously wealthy man who has exploited these images for his continued profit. I want nothing to happen that could case a SCINTILLA of SYMPATHY for Mr. Hussein. Additionally I do not want the actions of a billionaire to jeopardize our military men & women serving in these Muslim nations. These images give the radicals a reason to continue their bloodthirsty reign of terror.

Although an Australian, Murdoch has made the bulk his fortune in America. Therefore, if he had a CONSCIENCE he would care that such images continue to perpetuate the evil Empire view of America in the Muslim world.

Boycott Murdoch's newspapers. Write letters to the Editors. Condemn Murdoch's actions on the world stage. A little outrage & fervor on the part of the American people is in order.
